Twelve more Game of Thrones sequel series we’d love to see
The Graybeard
As a member of King Brandon Stark’s new small council with the title of Master of Ships, the wise Lord Davos Seaworth takes up permanent residence in King’s Landing. The former smuggler and Onion Knight has moved up in the world: the luxurious life of the royal apartments is a far cry from his early days in the Flea Bottom slums as the son of a lowly crabber.
The Greybeard is a comedy sitcom with serious heart. Lord Davos and his wry, insightful wife adopt a brood of Flea Bottom street urchins who need lessons in civility and personal cleanliness. It’s fortunate that Davos is a patient man, because he also has to deal daily with the oddball ideas and personal conflicts bouncing around Tyrion Lannister’s small council, especially where the Master of Coin, Lord Bronn, is concerned.
It’s always a difficult day for Lord Davos, but he’s up for it. He’s tough, full of good humor and willing to love his unique family for the long haul. Just be prepared for a lot of statements such as: “Back when I was a pipsqueak, all we got for breakfast was a dead rat peppered with sawdust!” or “You think you have it rough doing your chores? Try facing an army of White Walkers!” And on and on.
