Twelve more Game of Thrones sequel series we’d love to see
The Giantsbanes
There’s no way The Giantsbanes won’t be the comedy hit of the year, and for many years to follow. Two years after Jaime Lannister’s death, Brienne has found herself bored as Lord Commander of the Kingsguard and yearning for more adventure in the field. Upon a request from Sansa Stark, Brienne embarks on a journey to find Jon Snow, who’s gone missing in the North. Brienne’s first move is to speak with the wildings, who are the last to see Jon alive.
As Jon Snow’s dear friend, the worried Tormund Giantsbane joins Brienne to scour the icy wastes seeking a clue as to Jon’s whereabouts. Along the way, the two adventuring warriors finally fall in love. This is all backstory, of course: the TV show opens 17 years later, with Brienne and Tormund frantically raising seven tall, red-headed children aged 5-15 in the confines of King’s Landing.
As you might expect, the two warrior parents are overwhelmed by the challenges of domestic parenthood. Tormund is constantly trying to escape on hunting trips, while every nanny Brienne hires quits after less than two weeks. They do have a lot of babysitting help from Uncle Tyrion, Uncle Sam, Aunt Gilly and Uncle Davos. Uncle Bronn, popular with the kids for his gifts of coins, often gets both them and himself in trouble.
