Outlander star Caitriona Balfe reportedly got married last weekend!

facebooktwitterreddit

Outlander has been making plenty of headlines recently. There was the devastating announcement that it won’t return until 2020, but then exciting news about casting. Lots has been going down on the set of our favorite time-traveling romance, and off it, too.

Supposedly, allegedly, and amidst rumors, it would appear that our dear Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser) has tied the knot with her fiancé, music producer Tony McGill. According to a report by PEOPLE, Balfe and McGill had their ceremony in Somerset, England amidst close family and friends. That includes Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), obviously.

The people at PEOPLE did their research and learned who officiated the wedding, what church it was performed in (the public calendar had a booking for a “McGill”), and pointed to Heughan’s Instagram post from that weekend:

A remarkable weekend, you say? Curious.

If Balfe and McGill did indeed marry, then congratulations are in order for the couple, who has been seen together since 2015. Balfe showed off her engagement ring at the 2018 Golden Globes.

While there is no official confirmation from her or McGill end just yet, Outlander fans are elated to know that Balfe may have settled down with her real-life Jamie Fraser. Sigh, some people have all the luck!

Speaking of Jamie, Heughan has a new business venture: his own brand of whiskey, called Sassanech. Check out the logo:

I freaking love it.

This whiskey has been in the works for quite some time and will be a part of Heughan’s new venture, Great Glen Company. Heughan spoke to The Scotch Malt Whisky Society earlier this year about how this is always something he wanted to do:

"I set up the Great Glen Company to produce products that I believe in, using my heritage and passion as inspiration. We are currently working on my brand of whisky with our first announcement soon. First stop is obviously the lifelong dream of having my own dram."

If you’ve been following Heughan’s Instagram, then you know that he’s been ranting and raving about this project of his for a while. And I have to say, it’s pretty darn adorable:

And here’s one of the drink itself:
