Stranger Things star Sadie Sink (Max) shares what she wants from season four

After the action-packed and devastating events of Stranger Things season 3, fans are eager to learn what’s planned for the series’ future. Although Netflix has yet to confirm a fourth season for the show, it seems likely viewers will get at least that — after all, there is that post-credits scene to unravel, and the stars are certainly talking like they’ll be heading back to Hawkins at some point.

Case in point: Sadie Sink, who plays Max, recently shared what she’d like to see in a potential fourth season. In a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sink expressed her desire for the kids of Hawkins to get some normalcy in their teenage years — something they definitely didn’t have throughout their childhoods, what with all the Demogorgon chasing and attempts to close the portal to the Upside Down.

“I just want to see them in high school, being normal kids,” Sink said. “I feel like that’s what all of us want at this point. We’ve been through enough, let them have a break.”

She definitely has a point — if anyone deserves a break to enjoy high school, it’s the Stranger Things gang. Unfortunately, it’s unlikely they’ll get much rest, not with the Russian government still trying to blast a hole between this world and the next. And even if they were granted a reprieve, what does relaxing even look like for kids who have been through what they’ve been through? Is normalcy possible after all the trauma they’ve faced over the past three seasons?

Sink also addressed the speculation that the fourth season of Stranger Things could be its last. “I can’t confirm or deny because I really don’t know.” It seems like the show’s future in general is currently up in the air, despite having broken viewership records the weekend its third season was released. It’s been suggested that filming will begin sometime in October, though that could be another rumor. One thing that is definite, however, is that fans want more, and if we had to bet, we’d say that Netflix will give it to them, hopefully sooner rather than later.
