Netflix finishes filming The Last Kingdom season 4!

We’ve got good news and bad news, arselings. The good news is that it appears that filming on season 4 of The Last Kingdom has wrapped, moving us one step closer to the further adventures of Uhtred son of Uhtred! Just take a look at this tweet from the show’s official account:

The bad news is that with filming wrapped the torrent of behind-the-scenes images and video from the cast and crew is pretty much over, so enjoy these while you can!

Before we really start, though, Magnus Bruun (Cnut) welcomes his second child, a baby girl named Rita. Deepest congrats, Mr. Bruun!

After you recover from the cuteness, Adrian Bouchet (Steapa) shares a look at himself, King Edward (Timothy Innes) and Aldhelm (James Northcote) taking a break and rocking some shades. Can someone get Aldhelm a band-aid?

Seriously, look at this poor guy. Anyone have some Neosporin?

Bouchet is the first to hint that this might be the last go-round on filming. One last push!

Stefanie Martini, who will be playing a new rival/love interest for Uhtred in season 4, Eadith, also reveals it’s her last week of shooting.

Not to be distracted by the show he’s on, Arnas Fedaravicius (Sihtric) declares his loyalty for the World Rugby Cup.

Not to be outdone, Mark Rowley (Finan) also makes his loyalties known, this time with an axe.

Don’t trip on any arrows there, Mr. Rowley.

We’re not sure what this means, but Finan in a bathtub with an umbrella is worth including:

In any case, Rowley appears to be finished with season 4, as does Northcote. Also, I dig the drinking horn. Have one of those myself.

Finished or not, Northcote has some fun with Emily Cox (Brida) in a series of handstand competitions on set:

We can’t all be so athletically gifted, so here Fedaravicius broods on all the time he’s forced to spend sitting by a picturesque lake:

Martini also snags a shot of Millie Brady (Aethelflaed), also brooding:

Fedaravicius captures Brady in a happier moment.

Those two are spending a lot of time filming scenes together.

Surprise!

Only kidding, everyone; let’s calm down.

Brady is also hanging around the Vikings quite a bit, here seen with Jeppe Beck Laursen (Haesten).

Count Beck Laursen is among those who have completed their scenes for season 4.

That list also includes Martini.

Here, the duo break the fourth wall, capturing each other checking the other’s social media, and then posting it to social media. Our heads are spinning.

Beck Laursen took time to celebrate the end of filming with a season 4 newcomer, Ruby Hartley, who will play Uhtred’s now grown daughter Stiorra. Good to see her in focus this time.

We’re almost there, arselings! If we can just jump ahead to 2020, we can all be happy. Destiny is all!
