Game of Thrones is over, but HBO is providing us with lots of ways to remember it by. That includes teaming up with Insight Editions to bring you The Art of Game of Thrones, a lavish coffee table book spotlighting the show’s beautiful concert art, put together by production designer Deborah Riley.

Riley wrote the book alongside author Jody Revenson, who talked with SyFyWire about the experience, as well as giving us another look at some of the artwork.

“Looking through tons of concept artwork was mind-blowing, and it was fascinating to find out how design choices were made and what it was like working within the locations,” Revenson said.
“I’m so grateful for Deborah Riley’s help — her expertise and insight were invaluable to telling the story from first sketches to final sets.”

"She also gave me sage advice for working on a large project with a short deadline: ‘If you think about everything you’ve got to do, it can be paralyzing. If you can just focus on what’s directly in front of you, it’s amazing what you can achieve.’ She’s not only a great designer, she’s also a great person, and she’s really funny, too, so the process of writing the book was a joy."

Now let’s look at that art. This one shows how the designer’s were thinking about Theon Greyjoy’s last stand against the Night King in “The Long Night.” Be sure on each pic to enhance them!

It’s interesting how dark the art is. Clearly, they wanted to go for a low light look from the beginning.

And finally, we have Tormund Giantsbane strolling the walkway at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, shortly before the Night King blows it out of the Wall.

The Art of Game of Thrones will be released on November 5, and should make a wonderful Christmas gift for that Game of Thrones-obsessed fan in your life…and if that person is yourself, all the better. You can pre-order here for $75.
