Four things we desperately want to see in Stranger Things season 4

The return of Sheriff Hopper
This one was a given, right? Ever since the post-credits scene hinted at a mysterious “American” being held in a Russian prison — a Russian prison sitting on a portal to the Upside Down, no less — we’ve been dying to know who it is. The first guess is, naturally, Sheriff Hopper; remember that we didn’t actually see his body at the end of season 3. Sure, it could have been gobbled up by the portal, but he can’t actually be gone…can he?
This is a storyline I’m really hoping season 4 explores in a satisfying way. If Hopper is indeed alive, I’d actually prefer he not be the prisoner, but rather return to us in a more unexpectedly — but still sensical — way.
What if he is in Russia, but working there rather being held prisoner? Or maybe he’s trapped in the Upside Down like Will in season 1?
However it happens, I just want to see Sheriff Hopper back before the season 4 premiere ends.
