The Mandalorian, the first-ever live-action Star Wars series, premieres in less than five days on Disney+. Just take a moment to let that sink in…

Of the handful of shows that will premiere on launch day, The Mandalorian is definitely the most highly anticipated and is already getting a lot of love from the critics. Based on everything we’ve seen and heard so far, it looks beyond epic.

And there’s more good news! Disney has confirmed the release schedule for the show, along with releasing the synopses for the first few episodes. As far as scheduling goes, the first episode premieres on November 12, along with Disney+ itself. After that, fans can will be able to watch Episode 2 the following Friday (November 22), making for a nice long break between the first and second outings. The remaining six episodes will drop on every Friday from that point on until the season 1 finale on December 27.

Now that you know when you can watch all the episodes, let’s discover what they’re about! Check out the synopses below:

  • Chapter 1: A Mandalorian bounty hunter tracks a target for a well-paying client
  • Chapter 2: Target in-hand, The Mandalorian must now contend with scavengers
  • Chapter 3: The battered Mandalorian returns to his client for reward

So in the first three episodes, the Mandalorian looks for the target he’s been asked to locate, finds it, faces some resistance along the way, and then tries to obtain his reward.

I like how simple the story seems like it will be, with lots of room for details, not to mention some sure-to-be-entertaining fight scenes.

So far as we can tell, Werner Herzog is playing the client, with Game of Thrones veteran Pedro Pascal in the lead role. I have so many questions about this series and its world and I’m eager to get into the thick of it! November 12 can’t get here soon enough!
