Ellaria and Oberyn’s daughters, the Sand Snakes, are some of the fiercest women on the show. Their clothing choices when we meet them speak to their Dornish upbringing as well as their skill at fighting.

We’ve already acknowledged that the Dornish don’t seem to have conservative dress standards based on gender, and that’s evident in the Sand Snakes’ costumes. Not only do they wear trousers most of the time — something the ladies in King’s Landing would surely look down upon — but Tyene and Nymeria don’t seem concerned about showing off too much skin. And the combination of their light upper garments and trousers likely makes it easier for both of them to fight.
