The Pirate King (season 7)

Euron Greyjoy is probably one of the most vile characters we’re introduced to during Game of Thrones‘ eight-season run, surpassed only by Joffrey and Ramsay. And Euron’s vicious and selfish personality is only made worse by his arrogant and careless attitude — an attitude that’s captured well by the costumes he wears during the final two seasons.

The fact that Euron is covered almost from head to toe in leather is fitting given that he’s essentially a pirate. Light yet protective clothing is a practical choice when traveling at sea, although Euron seems to wear this getup wherever he goes. It enables him to move around easily, and it won’t drown him if he finds himself thrown overboard.  It’s also decent for fighting, although not nearly as effective as armor would be.

It’s also interesting that Euron leaves himself somewhat exposed on top, often wearing his tunic open around his chest. He does this when first arriving at King’s Landing, and he also wears his attire this way during future battles against Daenerys. There’s a ragtag throw-together quality to his outfits that underscores his overconfidence in his abilities. Euron believes himself invincible, and his costume proves that. (Lucky for fans, that wasn’t the case.)
