Between recruiting new writers and teasing terrifying monsters, Team Doctor Who is getting the world proper ready for a new season, scheduled to debut early next year. We still don’t know exactly when next year, but an announcement can’t be far off.

In the meantime, the BBC is keeping the hype going with a new behind-the-scenes video marking the official end of filming on season 12. Watch below!

This is the most recent in a string of teases the BBC has been dropping about the upcoming series. We’ve got mysterious images…

…mysterious videos…

…images of fan favorite creatures returning, like the Judoon returning…

…and more. Basically, the hype is ready to go from a simmer to a boil and if the BBC doesn’t put a lid on it with a proper trailer and a release date in the near future it’s going to get everywhere.

Happily, that looks like it will come to pass shortly. Not the caption on the video tweet above: “23.11.19.” It looks like we could get finally something substantial to slake out Doctor Who thirst on November 23, this Saturday.

Star Jodie Whittaker and showrunner Chris Chibnall brought a refreshing take to the show with season 11 and I’m looking forward to them digging themselves further into a groove come season 12. Sure, the revived version of the show has been around for 12 seasons, and for an additional 26 before that, but when you have the entirety of time and space to explore, it’s not that hard to find someplace new to go and something new to say.

Next. Marvel’s Runaways to end with upcoming third season. dark
