20 things you didn’t know about The Mandalorian
Pedro Pascal is The Mandalorian in the Disney+ series THE MANDALORIAN.
The Helmet
The most impressive piece of any Mandalorian’s armor set is the helmet, with its distinctive T-visor and large, Greek-style cheek guards. It’s also the first piece of super-silvery beskar Mando owns. According to the Way of Mandalore, the helmet can only be removed in private.
Like with the heavily-armed vambraces, the Mandalorian bounty-hunter’s helmet is loaded with techno-goodies. The visor has a built-in HUD (Head’s-Up Display) called a “macrobinocular viewplate” equipped with various readouts, along with a deployable rangefinder and image enhancer.
Knowing the removal of the helmet in the presence of another would end Mando’s existence as a warrior, various opponents have attempted to pry it off his head during combat. Mando has avoided being disgraced in such a fashion. In fact, the most powerful helm-removal force we’ve seen thus far came from the gentle hands of a potential lover: the Sorgan widow Omera (Julia Jones) in “Chapter 4: Sanctuary,” as she hoped to persuade Mando to leave the outlaw life and remain with her and Baby Yoda.
