The Tribe

It appears that since the events of the Purge, the Mandalorians now live underground and in hiding, fearful of the still-active genocidal forces that almost wiped them out. The survivors live by the Mandalorian Code, aware they are the defenders and caretakers of the Mandalore legacy.

A group of Mandalorians calling themselves “The Tribe” are headquartered on the Outer Rim planet of Nevarro. The outfit includes Mando, the Armorer and Paz Vizla. They enter and exit their enclave, known as “the covert,” one at a time, so as to not draw attention to anyone hunting for their location. The enclave contains the Armorer’s forge where she can fashion the distinctive Mandalorian armor from beskar metal.

Because of his dealings with the remnants of the Galactic Empire, Mando is considered a traitor by the other members of the Tribe, especially Paz Vizla, who attempts to remove his helmet as punishment. The Armorer breaks up the fight, saying that their survival is what matters and not the manner in which the survival is achieved. Paz Vizla and the rest of the Tribe agree, stating “This is The Way.”
