The Way of the Mandalore

"“When one chooses to walk the Way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey. How can one be a coward if one chooses this way of life?” ― The Mandalorian Armorer (“Chapter Three: The Sin”)"

Though the concept of “The Way” has yet to be precisely defined in The Mandalorian, the gist of it appears to be a promise to protect any Mandalorian at all costs and to never remove one’s helmet in the presence of others; if a Mandalorian did remove their helmet in the presence of witnesses, they would never be permitted to wear it again.

The Mandalore Tribe on Nevarro proves their adherence to “The Way of the Mandalore” when they jump into action when Mando is under attack by Greef Karga and a gang of Bounty Hunters’ Guild members for attempting to escape the planet with Baby Yoda (“Chapter Three: The Sin.”) The Tribe shall never fail to protect a fellow member, even if doing so blows their cover and forces them to relocate their enclave.

It is unclear if the concept of “The Way” was created as a Mandalorian survival statement generated after The Purge or if it’s part of their older warrior-culture tradition.
