9. Jared and Jensen’s families making an appearance
At its core, Supernatural is a show about the importance of family. This is a concept that’s been extended past just the cast, to the crew and even the fandom: we’re one big Supernatural family.
Padalecki met his wife Genevieve Padalecki on set when she played the demon Ruby in season 4. But even after Ruby’s death, she made an appearance as herself in one of the show’s most legendary episodes, The French Mistake. Jensen’s wife, Danneel Ackles, also appeared on the show as the faith healer, Sister Jo/the angel Anael in season 13. It wouldn’t be surprising if Jared and Jensen’s families, including their kids, make an appearance in the final season. It would, however, be heartwarming, a “passing of the torch,” if you will.
Padalecki has already teased that he’d love for his family to be featured and has said there’s a possibility his wife could return. He told Den of Geek: “She doesn’t have an episode or anything yet, but Gen and I are like, ‘We’ve got to have Tom and Shep and Odette on the show! In some way shape or form, even if they’re sitting in a diner somewhere or something. But yeah, there is a possibility and I’m really trying to make it happen.” Here’s hoping.
