Two years after the movie’s release, and fans are still clamoring to see Zack Snyder’s director’s cut of Justice League. Over the past few months, the #ReleaseTheSnyder hashtag has picked up a lot of momentum. There was even a billboard in Times Square during New York Comic Con!

But the best part about this whole “movement” is that it’s not just the fans that are behind it. Snyder himself has been releasing tidbits here and there, going so far as to provide photographic proof of the cut’s existence. Now, he’s gone even further and released some photo teases of the characters.

Snyder shared these pics through the Vero platform, which he seems to like a lot. We’ve got black-and-white pictures of Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck); Superman (Henry Cavill), who is supposedly talking to Aquaman (Jason Momoa); and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). (Side note: I feel bad for Fisher; is Cyborg ever getting a standalone movie, or will Justice League be the only chance he gets to play the character?)

Not going to lie, this is a pretty epic shot of Affleck!

I’m still not convinced with Affleck suited up as Batman, however…

Here’s the one where Superman is supposedly talking to Aquaman, although honestly it almost looks more like Wonder Woman when seen from the back:

This may be all the Cyborg we’re ever going to get:

According to SyFy Wire, Snyder also teased that his version of the movie has a call out of sorts to Green Lantern, aka Hal Jordan, although he doesn’t give more details than that.

And as it turns out, Snyder has not seen Joss Whedon’s version of Justice League and apparently has no plans to do so. He had and has his own ideas of what the movie was to be, and that’s exactly how he plans to remember it.

And so we’re back where we started: will we ever get to see his cut of the movie? All of these teases are surely leading somewhere, right? It’s been teased so much and he’s been such a big part of it lately. It’s only fair, right? “Film is still not 100 percent finished,” he wrote. “till some stuff I want to do as with every film I’ve made. […] all the hard creative choices are done.”

I have a feeling that in the not-so-distant future, we’re going to see the Snyder cut itself. It’s going to happen, I just know it. Maybe all of this is part of the marketing campaign!
