New look at Michonne in The Walking Dead season 10, A Quiet Place Part II trailer

The second half of the tenth season of The Walking Dead is barreling down on us, and it will see the exit of a longtime character: Michonne (Danai Gurira) will be leaving the show over the course of the next bunch of episodes, perhaps never to return.

Or not. It’s hard to know how long AMC will keep this show up, and it’s also making a bunch of movies about Rick Grimes and a new spinoff about a bunch zombie-fighting teenagers, etc. So she could always pop up somewhere, assuming she doesn’t die.

That’s the bridge we’ve got to cross first. TV Line has an image of Michonne from the season 10 midseason premiere. Check it out:

It does kind of look like she’s holding a lightsaber. I’m into it.

The Walking Dead returns with “Squeeze” on February 23.
