We may not be getting more Star Wars movies for a while, but Disney+ is forging ahead with Star Wars television shows like The Mandalorian and The Clone Wars season 7. An Obi-Wan Kenobi show is in the works — even though it’s having a few problems getting off the ground — and coming soon in a Rogue One prequel series about Cassian Andor, with Diego Luna reprising his role as the titular character and Alan Tudyk returning as K-2SO, the sassiest droid in the galaxy.

Recently, Luna spoke with Variety about his Disney+ show. Did Variety manage to wring any details out of him? Watch below!

“Yeah, no, I’m not allowed to talk about it, which is great because I haven’t started,” Luna said, confirming that production hasn’t begun. “I’m happy to be part of that universe because I grew up watching those films, and having a chance to explore the role in 10 hours or as many hours as we get, it’s gonna be great!”

So, Luna’s Rogue One prequel will have a ten-episode first season? For reference, The Mandalorian — the first of the live-action Star Wars series coming to Disney+ — had eight episodes, each lasting between 30 to 50 minutes.

We still don’t know exactly what the Cassian Andor show will entail, but since we know what happened to the character at the end of Rogue One, we know it has to be set in the past. “It was hard to start a film knowing you were gonna die so fast, but now we can talk about what happened earlier, so we’ll see.”

Based on the strength of The Mandalorian, I’m excited to see where Disney goes with this show. Let’s just hope what’s happening on the Obi-Wan Kenobi show isn’t the start of company-wide problems.
