Tom Hiddleston shares behind-the-scenes look at Loki series!

Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is over. Thanos is dead. What happens to the assorted heroes and villains now? They’ll continue to have adventures on the big screen, of course, but we’re more excited about their forthcoming adventures on Disney+. The MCU is coming to TV!

There are a bunch of MCU shows currently in production. We’ll see two of them — The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and WandaVision — this year. Two others — Loki and Hawkeye — are coming along later. In fact, thanks to an Instagram video uploaded by Tom Hiddleston himself, we know the Loki show is currently in prep:

Quick sidenote: literally all of the titles for these superhero shows are just the names of the characters involved. You’ve got to admire the simplicity of it.

Anyway, the Loki show will follow the version of the character we briefly met in Avengers: Endgame. Remember when the team went back to the time when Thanos’ forces attacked New York City, Captain America apprehended Loki, and the trickster god nicked the Tesseract and peaced out?

The Loki show will be following that Loki, back when he was still an incorrigible rapscallion, before he turned over a new leaf and died at Thanos’ hand. By the looks of it, the show will find him hop-scotching through time, making mischief.

And obviously they’ll be some wire jumps we’re sure Hiddleston will land eventually.

Anyway, prep has been going on for about five weeks now. Here’s Hiddleston with the rest of the Loki team:

Loki in 2021? Almost certainly.
