Let’s dreamcast HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon

Michelle Dockery as…Alicent Hightower

Alicent Hightower was the second wife of King Viserys I. She gave him four children, including his son Aegon II Targaryen, who eventually became king after Viserys died. She’s one of the driving forces behind the war, especially in the early stages, and would have a bitter rivalry with Rhaenyra throughout.

Dockery is best known for her role in Downton Abbey as Lady Mary Crawley. She also played Lady Kate Percy in Henry IV, Parts I and II. Playing high-handed women of influence will come in handy  for portraying a power player like Alicent Hightower.

Plus, Dockery actually looks like a noblewoman, so she’d have no trouble jumping into the role of the Dowager Queen Mother. I’m already imagining the crackling chemistry with Theron.
