Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet — Available now

Getting back to comedy, Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is again exclusive to a streaming platform, this time Apple TV+. While Apple is no rookie at digital media, they are just coming into their own in the streaming game with the launch of Apple TV+ last November. Thus far, it hasn’t really made the waves the company wants it to.

It doesn’t seem super likely that Mythic Quest will change that…but it does look like a ton of fun.

Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are both attached to Mythic Quest as executive producers. If that’s not enough, McElhenney also stars as an egotistical game designer who subjects his minions (I mean, co-workers…) to the same sort of awful humor one could expect from the Always Sunny crew, as he urges them to create a game masterpiece despite insurmountable obstacles and mixed messages.

The show looks like a cross between Silicon Valley and The Guild, and I’m all for that. And with almost half of the creative minds from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia behind it, the chances are high that it’ll produce some serious laughs. The question is, will it be worth subscribing to a whole other streaming service to watch?

All nine episodes of Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet as of today!
