Sophie Turner “deeply” misses Game of Thrones
By Dan Selcke
It’s been a minute since Sophie Turner graced our screens as Queen in the North Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, but we have a while to go before we forget it. Speaking to Elle UK during her new cover shoot, it sounds like she does as well. Watch below! The question about Game of Thrones comes around the 3:55 mark:
“I miss everything,” Turner said. “I really, deeply, deeply miss it. I miss the costumes. I miss the set. I miss the feeling that I got when I walked onto set in my costume, and that was incredibly empowering. I miss the people. I miss everything.” Way to get us feeling nostalgic, Turner.
Interestingly, Turner also said she would “go back to it in a heartbeat,” which contrasts a bit with what she said a while ago about not being interested in participating in any of HBO’s upcoming Game of Thrones spinoffs. But then again, there, she specified that what she’d really be interested in doing is working with the same people she worked with on Thrones, which wouldn’t be the case on a new show. “I would give anything to go back to what we had, but it wouldn’t be the same,” she said then. “It would be different, different people running it. I don’t want to be a part of it.”
Fair enough, but if it’s not too much trouble, I’ll still hold out hope for a Sansa: Queen in the North movie.
As you can see, Turner spent some time posing the house down for Elle UK. There’s even a whole video where she walks through the fashion dos and don’ts of her life:
Turner didn’t like the look she wore to Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s wedding? To each their own, I guess.
Some other fun Turner facts:
- She’s currently reading The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris.
- Guilty pleasure TV indulgences for her include 90-Day Finale, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and Cops.
- If you start playing music on her phone, you’ll likely hear “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, “Everything I Wanted” by Billie Eilish, and “Sucker” by the Jonas Brothers. Checks out. Also, apparently she puts on makeup to Lily Kershaw’s “Now and Then” while crying:
This year, Turner wants to set up a charity dedicated to helping people with mental health problems in the UK, as well as setting up a production company. Sounds like worthy goals to us!
As for where you can see Turner onscreen, she’ll be starring in Survive, a show about her and another person surviving a plane crash, on Quibi. That comes out May 15.
