Fandom Madness is coming! Vote for your favorite character in our tournament

Each March, madness descends upon the sporting world, and here at WinterIsComing, we like play along. In years past, we’ve hosted a bracket-style tournament pitting 64 Game of Thrones characters against one another, with you — the fan — voting on your favorites.

With Game of Thrones ending last year, we’re opening things up to include characters from all sorts of series. Westeros will still be represented, but now we’ve got everyone from Outlander to Supernatural to The Wheel of Time on the board.

Here’s how it works: We’ve chosen 64 of genre’s biggest names and seeded them according to our completely arbitrary standards. Once the polls go live, you’ll vote for your favorite character in each matchup.

This is all about which character YOU like best, not who would win in a fight, who’s better looking, or anything else. Simply choose your favorite. That’s it.

The polls themselves will be on Twitter, but we’ll embed them all in posts right here on WiC. Here’s the posting schedule, so you can keep track:

 Round 1 — Thursday, March 19 through Friday, March 20

 Round 2 — Saturday, March 21, through Sunday, March 22

Sweet 16 — Thursday, March 26, through Friday, March 27

Elite 8 — Saturday, March 28, through Sunday, March 29

Final Four — Saturday, April 4

Championship Round— Monday, April 6

After each round, we’ll update the bracket with the new matchups until we emerge with one victor, chosen by you. This Sunday we’ll unveil the entire bracket before voting opens next week!
