Happy Easter, arselings! With two weeks to go until season 4 of The Last Kingdom lands on Netflix, we’ve officially got a trailer! It’s nearly time to return to medieval England and we couldn’t be more excited! Watch below:
All our favorite faces are there, led by Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon), who says that he is no longer Uhtred of Bebbanburg. Still, it doesn’t appear he really means that, as we see his ancestral home, currently held by his uncle Aelfric (Joseph Millson) throughout the trailer.
We see plenty of other familiar characters in there, including Cnut (Magnus Bruun), Brida (Emily Cox) and Haestan (Jeppe Beck Laursen), plus a couple of new faces, such as Sigtryggr, played by Eysteinn Sigurdarson. We’ll need some new blood after season 3 saw the departure of Ragnar, Aethelwold, and of course, King Alfred. The Last Kingdom is always moving on to its next act.
But one thing that stays the same is the violence. From charges to sieges to sword fights, the action appears to be kicked up a notch. Death will surely come for more than a few of of our favorites, hopefully just not Uhtred or Finan (Mark Rowley) and that glorious beard.
The Last Kingdom season 4 premieres on April 26. Destiny is all!
