The seventh and final season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. lands on ABC about a month from now. Over the past several seasons, the show has carved out a place for itself in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even as other shows set there die quiet deaths. Based on the trailer, the last batch of episodes will be as wild and fun as ever, as the team travels back in time to stop those dastardly Chronicoms, who apparently are now stealing faces from unsuspecting 1930s-era police officers:

And yes, that is Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) with a tommy gun. Or it’s the revived version of Coulson? It’s hard to keep track with him.

In addition to Gregg, season 7 will bring back all of the actors we’ve come to know, including Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Natalia Cordova-Buckley and Jeff Ward. Plus there’ll be an Agent Carter crossover, with Enver Gjokaj turning up from that show as war veteran Daniel Sousa.

Agent Carter is set in the 1940s, so we assume that the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. team will be hopping all over time this season. Expect an Avengers: Endgame-like walk through their greatest hits. Hopefully it sends the off right.
