Are characters from Fear The Walking Dead going to cross over to parent show The Walking Dead? The rumor has been in the air for a while, starting at We Got This Covered, which claimed that AMC was considering the idea of bringing the two shows closer together with some kind of crossover event. Of course, the two shows have crossed over on a smaller scale once before, when Morgan (Lennie James) — who was introduced on The Walking Dead — become a central character in Fear.

A crossover event is still possible, of course, but for the moment Lennie James is playing down the rumors. “Is it something I would like to do? Possibly, yeah,” he told Digital Spy. “I don’t quite see how it happens. But there’s been lots of things about The Walking Dead and Fear where I’ve not seen how it was going to happen and then it happened.”

"So I’m not necessarily the source of information as far as that’s concerned. I will say that I haven’t heard that rumour. But again, that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true or not true."

He also teased a little of what we can expect from Fear the Walking Dead season 6. If you don’t remember, Morgan was last seen shot and left for dead by Ginny, with a horde of zombies approaching him. “I think it’s really exciting, and it’s a big season for Morgan and for me, really,” James said. “I’d be really interested to see how the fans respond to it. I think it’s really exciting and brave.”

Whether we get a crossover or not, the world of The Walking Dead is ever expanding; we’ll get a look at some of its unexplored corners when the new spinoff The Walking Dead: World Beyond airs later this year. After that, fans will be treated with a planned trilogy of Rick Grimes movies. We Got This Covered, which is apparently the place to go for rumors, claims it has a little inside information about what’s coming.

The report suggests that the movies will see Rick taken to an encampment that is solely focused on solving the walker issue. Once Rick arrives, he realizes that all is not what it seems. Predictably, the place is run by a bunch of bad guys, this time a group of corrupt scientists who use live human beings for testing against their wishes.

It’ll be a long wait before we find out if these rumors are true. However, we might get to see some more details in The Walking Dead itself, as We Got This Covered also believe that season 11 will involve a group of survivors going to try and save Rick.

But first, all things Walking Dead have to start shooting again. The Walking Dead season 10 finale is scheduled to air later this year, after it was hit with a delay due to the coronavirus lockdown.
