“Chapter 18: The Caemlyn Road”

Next up is another large-scale battle sequence. It involves the entire cast of characters and is a great opportunity to show viewers the true power of Moiraine Damodred, the Aes Sedai sorceress who escorts our main characters out of Emond’s Field when it becomes clear that it is too dangerous to stay.

Our heroes are riding through the woods when they hear the sound of horns from several directions. Trapped in a corner, they come upon a massive hoard of Trollocs. With no other choice, the group charges forward.

Moiraine’s warder Lan — essentially her bodyguard — fights a Myddraal while Rand rides about, swinging his sword with what little skill he has. Perrin and Mat shout battle cries, while Nyneave and Egwene — girls from the village who travel with the group for their own reasons — stay close to Moiraine, who is using her powers to envelop Trollocs in flame. The magic in The Wheel of Time makes for some of its best moments, and seeing it in all its glory would make fans very happy.

Rand turns and sees even more Trollocs approaching his party. Moiraine climbs down from her horse and takes out a powerful artifact — an angreal — used to conduct the One Power, the source of all magic in this world. With the angreal in one hand and the staff in the other, she faces the Trollocs, raises her staff and stabs it down in the earth, causing the ground to tremble and ripple.

The Trollocs begin to tumble down the slope in heaps. The Aes Sedai then lifts her staff and the earth stills. She points to the hollow between the hills and flames, creating a wall between the Trollocs and the humans. They push forward while Moiraine nearly falls on the ground.

Just reading this, you can probably guess how fantastic a spectacle this could make. It would challenge the VFX team, but would announce to the world how epic the series could become.
