The two Kill Bill movies told the story of the Bride (Uma Thurman), who was left for dead by her former lover and vowed revenge, cutting her way through her former colleagues in the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad as well as, like, a million ninjas.

The movies came out over a decade ago, but there’s long been talk of Volume 3. A third movie, the thinking goes, would following the daughter of Deadly Viper member Vernita Green, whom the Bride kills at the top of the first movie. Kill Bill is a pretty goofy series, but that moment still hits hard.

“When you grow up, if you still feel raw about it, I’ll be waiting,” the Bride tells little Nikkia (Ambrosia Kelley). If that’s not an invitation to a sequel, I don’t know what is.

Vivica A. Fox, who played Vernita, has been talking up a third movie for years, and recently upped the ante by throwing a major name into the mix. “I haven’t got any official word [on Kill Bill Vol. 3],” she recently told NME. “I had a feeling that hopefully [Quentin Tarantino] was waiting on the actress who plays my daughter to grow up a little bit. But then I was doing an interview and they asked, ‘What young actress would you get to play your daughter?’ and I was like, ‘No, Ambrosia!,’ but they meant an established actress. So I went, ‘Zendaya!'”

"How hot would that be? And that would probably green light this project. Because her and Uma are both very tall, and it would just be kick-butt, and I love her. Hopefully now we can put that out, like ‘Tarantino, cast Zendaya!’ And spark his interest to put it on the fast track. Wouldn’t it be amazing?"

Between Euphoria, the new Spider-Man movies, and the upcoming Dune, Zendaya is indeed at the top of her game right now. I would be 100% on board for her hunting down the Bride, who’s been raising a daughter of her own in the off-time. And the cycle continues?

@Bosslogic, who turns out awesome pop culture art on the regular, is also on board, and mocked up this very cool poster:

And maybe grown-up Nikki could be trained by Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), the Deadly Viper member the Bride left for dead (and blind) in the second movie? Clearly I’m letting my imagination run away with me.

One final idea: Kill Bride is a good enough title, but doesn’t rhyme like Kill Bride did. Can I suggest…Get Rid ‘o’ Beatrix Kiddo?

You’re welcome Quentin.
