Visit Hawkins, Indiana (or elsewhere) by becoming a background actor on the fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things!

Live in the Atlanta, Georgia area and look Russian? This just might be your chance to join season 4 of Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things.

Per Backstage, Netflix is looking for “Russian Types” 18 and over for a day’s work. Given where season 3 left off, and where we saw Sherriff Hopper (David Harbour) when Netflix saw fit to give us a tease of season 4, this casting all doesn’t come as a surprise. Unless Hawkins is invaded by gangs of Russian teenagers (which sounds kind of fun, very YA Red Dawn), we’re guessing Hopper will meet some new friends during his incarceration in Siberia.

But fear not: there are other roles available. Netflix is also looking for “Gymnasts or Aerobic Types,” aged 18-22.

What does this mean for season 4? It’s a little harder to pin down, but the 1980s were full of exercise fads, so maybe Steve joins a gym or something. If we don’t get a Jazzercise montage from season 4, what’s even the point?

Finally, Netflix is looking for general background extras as well. Female performers should have shorter hair while males should have long hair, the longer the better. That rules me out.

Season 4 of Stranger Things was originally intended for an early 2021 release, but like a lot of other shows, the production stalled when the coronavirus started to spread. We’ll be getting it sooner or later…but it might be later.
