HBO Max drops an unsettling clip from its new sci-fi epic from Ridley Scott. Also, the new James Bond film No Time to Die gets a trailer! Watch:

Today, HBO Max premiered Raised by Wolves, an ambitious new sci-fi series from Aaron Guzikowski and Ridley Scott, the filmmaker behind movies like Alien and Gladiator. So far, the series is getting solid reviews, with critics praising its imagination and exploration of heady themes like artificial intelligence, religion, and humanity.

Raised by Wolves clearly did not come to play. It’s about an android, Mother (Amanda Collin), taking care of a group of human children in the wake of a religious war that decimated the Earth. If the premise isn’t enough to entice you, SyFy Wire has a clip where Mother tries to comfort one of her “children,” Campion (Winta McGrath) by perfectly imitating first the voice and then the face of one of his dead friends:

Weird, right? “Weird” seems to be the name of the game when it comes to Raised by Wolves, with lots of scenes and ideas that make you a little uncomfortable, and maybe cause you to think deep thoughts about human nature and the future of the species. In short, it looks like good sci-fi.

Raised by Wolves also stars Niamh Algar, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Jordan Loughran, Aasiya Shah, Ivy Wong, and Vikings star Travis Fimmel.

And if creepy androids aren’t your thing, maybe the new trailer for New Time to Die, Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond, is more your speed:

After a series of coronavirus-mandated delays, No Time to Die is scheduled to be in theaters on November 20. You can watch the first three episodes of Raised by Wolves on HBO Max right now!
