Doctor Who has officially announced a five-part CGI animated series, “Daleks!,” set to release this November. “Is this the end of the Daleks?”

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Doctor Who is the gift that keeps on giving. The show may be off the air at the moment, but Big Finish is giving us the multi-platform adventure Time Lord Victorious, an ambitious Doctor Who story told across multiple mediums.

Today, the official Doctor Who YouTube channel dropped a trailer for the Time Lord Victorious story Daleks! This part-part animated adventure will bring the series’ most iconic villains to the forefront. As horrendous as they are for the heroes of the story, we love to hate these villains, and I for one cannot wait to see this animated series.

“The Daleks’ plundering of the Archive of Islos unearths something ancient and deadly,” reads the official synopsis. “Soon Skaro is under attack and the Dalek Emperor is on the run! Can the Daleks defeat their adversaries and regain their planet, even with help from an old enemy? Will this be the end of the Daleks?

The animated series is set to launch in November on the Doctor Who YouTube channel. It’ll consist of five 10-minute episodes. Short and sweet, I love it!

The first two episodes are named “The Archive of Islos” and “The Sentinel of the Fifth Galaxy.” Despite my relatively vast knowledge of the Whoniverse, I’m not entirely sure what Islos is, or aware of the Fifth Galaxy. Perhaps other hardcore fans will be able to dissect the titles and give the rest of us an inkling as to what they could mean.

Here’s hoping the Daleks can find a way out of this one — as vile as they are, we’re not quite ready to lose them just yet!

Next. The Walking Dead is actually ending with season 11. dark
