Mando Knows Huttese?

We’ve seen Mando’s extensive language skills firsthand. He’s made peace with Tusken raiders and argued with Jawas in their native tongues. Unfortunately, he could not understand the Frog Lady, since he was unfamiliar with her dialect.

After the group leaves Tatooine, he asks her if she knows Huttese, the language of the Hutts. Since Tatooine was controlled by notorious gangster Jabba the Hutt, Mando assumed Frog Lady would know Huttese. Sadly, she didn’t.

It was a small line, but it was great to hear this being acknowledged. Plus, we get to hear Mando speak a little Huttese. Which begs the question: How many languages does Mando know? Is it required for a bounty hunter like him to learn many languages? Or is Djarin just interested in languages?
