Before the final go-round, Walking Dead fans are getting several extra episodes of season 10. We finally know when they’re airing, complete with synopses:

The Walking Dead is ending with season 11…but before we get to that, they’re giving us six extra episodes of season 10, so fans can stay in this zombie-infested world a little longer.

And today, AMC announced the details! The new episodes will begin airing on Sunday, February 28, and continue on at a rate of one per week thereafter (if you’re an AMC+ subscriber you can watch them early, on the Thursdays before). That news is good enough, but the network also released episode descriptions. Check ’em out!

EPISODE 1017 – “Home Sweet Home”

Maggie (Lauren Cohan) has returned with a story she is not ready to share, even when her past catches up to her. Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan,) safety is at stake again. Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Maggie fight an unseen and unknown threat.

Some of these episodes will involve flashbacks to characters’ pasts, but not all of them. This one will continue the story where we left it off, with the Whisperer War over and our survivors trying to regroup and rebuild.

EPISODE 1018 – “Find Me”

An adventure for Daryl and Carol (Melissa McBride) turns sideways when they come across an old cabin. It takes Daryl back to the years when he left the group after Rick disappeared as he relives a time that only the apocalypse could manifest.

It sounds like we could get a Daryl flashback or two here. Also, will pairing Daryl and Carol help set up their upcoming spinoff series?

EPISODE 1019 – “One More”

Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and Aaron (Ross Marquand) search for food and supplies to bring back to Alexandria. Small tragedies lead to bigger tragedies as faith is broken and optimism is fragmented when they are put to the ultimate test.

AMC released a look behind the scenes at the table read for this episode:

EPISODE 1020 – “Splinter”

Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura), and Princess (Paola Lázaro) are captured and separated. Princess struggles with memories of her traumatic past and tries to escape one way or another with the help of Ezekiel.

EPISODE 1021 – “Diverged”

Daryl and Carol come to a fork in the road and head their separate ways. Each going into their own type of survival mode, the easiest of challenges become much harder. Will their individual journeys be the tipping point needed to mend their friendship or is the distance between them permanent?

EPISODE 1022 – “Here’s Negan”

Carol takes Negan on a journey, hoping to minimize the increasing tension.  Negan reflects on the events that led him to this point and comes to a conclusion about his future.

We’ll definitely get flashbacks in this episode, with Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s real-life wife Hilarie Burton playing Negan’s deceased wife Lucille (yes, Negan named his murder bat after her). The title, “Here’s Negan,” is also the title of a Negan one-shot comic Robert Kirkman wrote that explores the character’s backstory.

And if that’s not enough Walking Dead for you, SyFy Wire has a clip from the midseason finale of Fear the Walking Dead season 6, which is coming up this Sunday:

Enjoy this Walking Dead goodness while you can, fans. When season 11 starts, the end will be in sight.
