Game of Thrones tops list of sexy TV show search results

This study of search data shows which shows and characters are most often searched in conjunction with…sexy things. People really like superheroes.

Game of Thrones has a lot of sex in it. I don’t need to tell you that. The whole series kicks off with twin siblings getting it on in a tower; the porn parody basically writes itself, and has, many times. I would link to examples but don’t want to be held responsible for what happens after. You can always search Google, and as it ends up, a lot of people have.

The good people at LoveHoney, purveyors of fine relationship aids, have done a study of what shows people most often search for in conjunction with…other things. So for instance, they saw how many times people searched for phrases like “Game of Thrones sex scene,” “Game of Thrones kissing,” and so on, and did that for dozens of the most popular series, movies and characters around. What were the results? See for yourself below!

Is anyone surprised that Game of Thrones is on the top of this list? Certainly not the people behind the porn versions. Their sales basically depend on it.

There are some other sci-fi/fantasy/historical shows on there, including Spartacus, Outlander, The Witcher, True Blood, The Tudors and Sense8. But no shockers, really.

But what about characters? Who shows up most often in sexy searches? LoveHoney broke it down by men and women:

Wow, that is a lot of superheroes! And with Spider-Man at the top…I didn’t see that coming. And Peter Parker comes in at number 11! Folk love that guy…in a special way.

In fact, the only non-superhero character to break into the top five is Game of Thrones‘ own Jon Snow, although Christian Grey and James Bond both make it into the top 10.

Seriously, is anyone else surprised by the preponderance of superheroes? Are they sexier than I assumed? Also, good for Neo getting on there decades after The Matrix came out.

And now for the female characters:

Once again, superheroes are everywhere, with Harley Quinn taking the top spot this time around. Game of Thrones is much better represented this time, with Daenerys, Melisandre and Margaery Tyrell all making it on.
