Universal Studios Orlando teases new Jurassic World rollercoaster

Universal Studios Orlando just teased their new Jurassic World rollercoaster, which is going to be one wild ride. Do not feed the raptors.
If you’re a fan of rollercoasters and Jurassic World, the summer of 2021 will be your time to celebrate. Just today, Universal Studios Orlando teased their Jurassic World VelociCoaster Ride Vehicle, which boasts a sleek, sophisticated design.
But the design isn’t the only thing to brag about when it comes to the rollercoaster. According to Collider, the VelociCoaster can reach up to 70 mph and flies more than 150 feet in the air, making it Florida’s faster and tallest launch coaster. My, oh, my! That sounds like it’s going to be scary AF.
Take a peek at the 27-second teaser video below, and get ready to preemptively freak out over this ridiculously insane rollercoaster.
The premise of the ride, so to speak, is that it’s actually in Jurassic World. The guests will race with raptors, which makes sense given the name. And each seat will have its own personal speaker amplifying the frightening sound of the raptors, which may or may not mask your screams as you plunge down whatever drops it has in store.
The ride will officially open in Summer 2021. Originally, that was meant to coincide with the release of the next the next Jurassic World movie, but that’s been delayed into 2022.
The ride will be located at Universal Studios Florida in the Islands of Adventure section of the park, which already features the Jurassic Park, which has an 85-foot drop that takes you right under a monstrous T-Rex. You could make an afternoon of it!
Perhaps I’m imagining this, but dare I say that Islands of Adventure is slowly turning into…Jurassic Park?
Alternately, if you’re looking for a rollercoaster that’s more lowkey but no less terrifying, Immelman Footers has put together this virtual coaster based on Konami’s horror video game series Silent Hill:
Universal, getting any ideas?
