The Weeping Angels may return for Doctor Who season 13

Leaked images from the set of Doctor Who season 13 suggest that a certain iconic enemy may be returning. Keep a close watch on these guys.
Production on Doctor Who season 13 seems to be getting underway, with a leaked image from set hinting at the return of a very sinister villain, someone the want to keep a close eye on…
Yes, that’s right, THE WEEPING ANGELS MIGHT BE IN THE NEXT SEASON OF DOCTOR WHO! The Doctor Who Page Twitter account shared the image from set, with an iconic Weeping Angel statue innocently standing in the middle of the road.
Doctor Who has had its share of strange and frightening villains over the years, but there’s little as frightening as the Weeping Angels. What other villain has made you too scared to blink? Just saying.
In what capacity the Weeping Angels may return is beyond me, but it wouldn’t be the first time a villain comes back to wreck havoc. The Daleks come back over and over and over again, including in the upcoming holiday special “Revolution of the Daleks.”
Also returning for that episode is John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness. But will that be the last we see of him, or will he be sticking around?
Barrowman is eager to talk about it. Speaking with Radio Times, he discussed his possible future with the franchise:
"I’ve always said, if I’m asked I will do it at the drop of a hat – I will happily come back to the TARDIS any time I am asked. Except I’ll be grey-haired now, so we have to work that into the plot, that something happened to Jack’s hair! Or they’ll dye it – they can sort it out. But I don’t know what the future holds. We have to wait and see."
The bond between Captain Jack and the Doctor is strong and time-tested. No matter what form the Doctor is in at the moment (Captain Jack hasn’t actually met the 13th Doctor yet), Barrowman doesn’t think it’ll matter. “That’s the one thing that I will say [about the festive special]. With the episode itself, that’s how he recognizes who it is. That’s all I’ll say.”
We can’t wait to see his interaction with Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor come New Year’s Day!
