Watch the trailer for Disney’s Loki series, and other Marvel news

Get sneak peaks at The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Ms. Marvel and more. Nick Fury headlines his own series! A Fantastic Four movie is coming!
Today, Disney released a tidal wave of information about its upcoming movies and shows, including a lot about the goings-on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe…which is starting to look a lot more like the Marvel Television Universe. Let’s cover the biggest bits of news!
1. New trailer for WandaVision
WandaVision is the first of many Marvel TV shows coming to Disney+. This one comes out on January 15, and looks like it’ll be a mind-bender.
WandaVision will somehow connect to both the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the as-yet-unsubtitled Spider-Man 3, both of which look to deal with multiple dimensions. That checks out; obviously whatever’s happening in WandaVision isn’t 100% normal.
2. Watch the trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
After that, in March, we’ll get treated to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which was supposed to be the first Marvel show to arrive before the coronavirus shut down sets around the world. It looks like it’s an action buddy comedy between the two title characters, both of them trying to uphold the legacy of Captain America now that he’s retired.
3. Watch the trailer for Loki!
Following in May will be Loki, a show all about Thor’s tricksy brother. Looks like he’ll be traveling through time and space, getting up to all kinds of mischief.
4. What If…?
What If…? is an animated show all about what would have happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe had things gone a little differently here or there. That one’s coming in the summer of 2021.
5. Ms. Marvel
Later in the year we’ll get Ms. Marvel, one of the newer additions to the Marvel universe. There’s not much official footage of it yet, but behind the scenes, the team can’t wait to bring it to life.
6. Hawkeye
Hawkeye is getting his own show! Disney confirmed what we basically already knew about the cast, including that Hailee Steinfeld will be playing Kate Bishop, Hawkeye’s protégé. This one is still filming, so I’d expect it to come out a little later than the rest of these shows, possibly in early 2022. So we’ll have to be content with only five Marvel shows on Disney+ next year.
7. He-Hulk on She-Hulk
We knew that Marvel was making a She-Hulk series, with Orphan Black veteran Tatiana Maslany as the titular lawyer/super-strong green superhero. But we weren’t sure if her cousin Bruce Banner, the original Hulk, would show up. Kevin Feige confirmed during the conference that he would.
8. Samuel L. Jackson has his own Marvel show!
We heard a while back that Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) would get his own MCU show, and it turned out to me true. Secret Invasion will adapt a popular storyline from Marvel comics.
9. The legacy of Iron Man
Just as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier deals with the fallout from the retirement of Captain America, Marvel has two shows that look to examine what the world is like after the death of Iron Man. Armor Wars will revolve around Don Cheadle as War Machine, while Ironheart will follow Riri Williams, who invents a new suit of battle-ready armor.
10. The Guardians of the Galaxy
There was a bunch of Guardians of the Galaxy news in the presentation. There’s a holiday special coming, plus a series of short films starring Groot. As for the third movie, Christian Bale will play the villain, Gorr the God Butcher, who does not sounds pleasant.
11. Black Panther 2
Black Panther 2 is still on the way. We don’t know exactly how the movie will proceed after the passing of star Chadwick Boseman, but Kevin Feige assured fans that his iconic character will not be recast.
12. A Fantastic Four movie is coming!
Finally, we learned that Jon Watts, the director of both of the Marvel Spider-Man movies with Tom Holland, will be making a Fantastic Four film! That’s one iconic superhero team that Disney hadn’t been able to make a movie about yet, and I can’t wait to see what the studio does with them.
There are a few things we didn’t mention — Oscar Isaac is playing the superhero Moon Knight in yet another Disney+ series, and Feige reminded us that movies like The Eternals and Shang-Chi and the Seven Rings are on their way — but you get the picture. The future is so full of Marvel. And if superheroes aren’t your thing, Disney had a whole lot to say about the future of Star Wars:
