Bo-Katan returns and wields the Darksaber once again

Earlier this season, Mando met the previous owner of the Darksaber, Bo-Katan Kryze. “Chapter 11: The Heiress” sets up a confrontation between Kryze and Gideon as she pursues him for the Mandalorian weapon. Does this mean there’s a possibility she will show up in the finale? We think so!

She has a score to settle and won’t pass on the opportunity to get her revenge. Whether Mando recruits her at the start of the episode or saves the day at the last minute, we hope she makes an appearance and both her and Mando take down the dastardly Moff. It would be poetic justice if he were defeated by two Mandalorians, given how he had a role in the Great Purge of Mandalore.

Speaking of, this could also be a great opportunity to explore what happened during the Great Purge and how exactly Gideon got his hands on the Darksaber. It could be told to us through a monologue or a flashback. We need to know what happened!

Once Gideon is defeated, Bo-Katan will have the Darksaber again, and she can focus on reclaiming Mandalore. Kryze tried to recruit Mando to her cause, but he refused because he was still tasked with finding a Jedi to take and train Grogu. Now that the two are more connected, the bounty hunter may feel reluctant to give him to a stranger. This could make Mando reconsider Kryze’s offer and fight alongside her.

The only reason we are considering this is because last week, Migs Mayfeld mentioned Mandalore and how it doesn’t “exist anymore.” But perhaps Mando could help Bo-Katan and other Mandalorians take back the planet.
