Dark Trooper showdown

Throughout the show, the remnants of the Empire have been tracking Grogu. Earlier this season, we learned that Grogu’s blood had been used to create and empower a deadly weapon for the Empire: The Dark Trooper. We caught a glimpse of these new soldiers at the end of “Chapter 14: The Tragedy,” after Gideon ordered a squad of them to kidnap Grogu.

These new troopers look more machine than man, more threatening than your average Stormtrooper. We don’t know what they are capable of yet, but if Mando and company are going after Gideon, the Moff will use them to his advantage. This would be a great time to showcase what the Dark Troopers can do. Are they like the Legends version of the Dark trooper? Can they use the Force? If so, Mando and friends are in for the fight of their life.

We see the episode playing out like this: the group will board and infiltrate Gideon’s cruiser and take out some Stormtroopers and Imperial officers. Then, when Mando thinks they have the upper hand, Gideon will deploy the Dark Troopers to try to turn the tide. Our gang will realize the Dark Troopers are too strong until someone (*cough* Boba Fett *cough*) sacrifices themselves while fighting the Dark Troopers so the rest of the group can get to Gideon and Grogu.

Or, if the Dark Troopers can wield the Force, the Jedi or Force user who heard Grogu’s call will come in and save the day at the last minute. Either way, we think we are going to get a Dark Trooper showdown!
