Kristofer Hivju rings in the holidays, Lena Headey stars in a new movie, the Mountain joins the dairy industry and more Game of Thrones celebrity news!

As always, Game of Thrones stars are keeping busy, pandemic or no pandemic. Let’s check in with a few of them.

First up, with Christmas just a few days away, our very own Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane) stars in a holiday music video alongside his wife, Gry Molvær Hivju. The song, “Shout Merry Christmas” bids farewell to the difficulties of 2020 and looks ahead to 2021 with a glimmer of hope. Check it out!

Tormund would be a good Santa Claus, assuming you’re okay with the red beard.

Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister) is another one who’s always keeping busy. Deadline reports that she’ll be starring as the lead character in an upcoming indie movie called Gypsy Moon, from director Gigi Garson. “Gigi is someone you can’t say no to, you just get caught up with her passion and heart,” Headey said. “Going back to my roots of indie filmmaking has been a joy. Moving fast and making what time you have count, is what I love.”

Headey will play a burlesque dancer who must go on the run to save a neighbor boy (Dean Scott Vasquez) threatened by her ex-lover (Sam Worthington). Sounds like a part Headey can sink her teeth into!

And if you can’t wait for the movie, Headey is consistently entertaining on social media, as for example when she’s dancing on a bellman’s cart:

Meanwhile, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) took part in the Global Citizen Awards this past weekend, which honor humanitarian efforts around the world; this year, an award went to European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen. Coster-Waldau introduced and interviewed Leyen, who took office just a year ago:

Moving on, Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson (The Mountain) always seems to be partnering up with some company on a new project. His latest venture is Thor’s Skyr, which has official Instagram account and Facebook page. For all that, we’re not quite sure what it is, but we know it involves Björnsson walking around a farm and getting up close and personal with the livestock:

Thor Skyr’s pending trademark application to The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) may shed some light on what this is: “THOR’S SKYR™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of milk, cheese, butter, yogurt and other dairy products; milk; milk beverages, mainly milk; dairy products.”

Okay, so still not a whole of information, but it looks like the Mountain is dabbling in the dairy industry. Perhaps creating his own line of milk or cheese or being the spokesperson for something like it? Color us intrigued, in any case.

Last but not least, The Mandalorian just wrapped up its second season and left us all shocked, astonished, and desperately craving more of whatever that ending was. Seriously, what a finale!

The man behind the titular character’s beskar armor is none other than Game of Thrones veteran Pedro Pascal (Oberyn Martell). He took to social media to share his gratitude with the show’s directors, showrunners, cast and crew for an incredible second season.

So, when is season 3 coming out?

Next. The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian season 3 to run at the same time. dark
