Take the Black: House of the Dragon hires, Wonder Woman review, more

We talk new House of the Dragon tidbits, review Wonder Woman 1984, and debate whether The Mandalorian is losing its identity to the greater Star Wars universe.

Welcome to the final episode of Take the Black of the year! This week, we discuss the latest updates about House of the Dragon, review Wonder Woman 1984 (don’t worry, no spoilers), and debate the merits of The Mandalorian season 2 finale!

Also, I wear a hat. Watch below:

HBO’s Game of Thrones prequel series is still a while away, but HBO is ramping up production, with intriguing new tidbits to pick over. As for Wonder Woman 1984, Mia is pretty positive on it, give or take some non-interlocking parts.

For The Mandalorian, we pose a question to the group: is the show dipping too much into the established Star Wars mythology? Especially after the premiere, where the headline moment had almost nothing to do with the original characters the show had been building the last couple seasons, is it in danger of losing its own unique identity? Or are the ties to the Star Wars universe what make it work? Let the debate begin!
