Wonder Woman 1984 just came out, but we already know what we want from the third and final film, including iconic villains and a return to Themyscira!

After waiting half a year for Wonder Woman 1984, comic book fans finally watched the film on HBO Max on Christmas Day. Due to the success of the first movie, DC fans were eager to see the continuing adventures of Amazon princess Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) as she reunited with her lover Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) and took on the power-hungry, wish-granting oil tycoon Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) and her friend-turned-nemesis Barbara Minerva (Kristen Wiig).

While the movie had its fair share of fun and riveting moments, it also had problems. That’s a shame, since the first installment was so compelling and unlike anything we had seen from the DCEU until then.

But while WW1984 won’t satisfy every fan of the first movie, it set up some exciting storylines and characters for the inevitable follow-up. Director Patty Jenkins recently said that the third and final Wonder Woman film would take place in the modern day.

Naturally, our minds are racing with the possibilities. Here are four things we want to see in Wonder Woman 3:

Make Circe the next villain

The DCEU has introduced Ares, Doctor Poison, and now Maxwell Lord and Cheetah as adversaries for Diana. Which begs the question, who will be the villain of the next movie? Cheetah is still alive, and the next film could focus on her, but that won’t be enough. They could introduce Giganta to the DCEU, but we think another villain would make a better final foe for Diana: Circe.

Circe is a powerful and ancient sorceress. Stunningly beautiful, she’s fond of turning people into animals and loves to humiliate others. She is a follower of the witch goddess Hecate, from whom she draws much of her power.

Her conflict with Wonder Woman begins when she reads a prophecy that says Diana will steal her powers and be her downfall. In Wonder Woman 1984, we saw Diana use the gods’ power to do things like turn the jet invisible and fly. So, it would make sense for Circe and Hecate to be wary of Diana, especially if she can harness more abilities like these over time.

One of Circe’s biggest claims in fame in the comics is starting the War of the Gods, using the chaos to gain power for herself. Adapting this story could give Jenkins the opportunity to explore magic in the DC universe. In that same storyline, Circe enacts a plan to kill Hippolyta and the Amazons. That would give Diana more of a personal stake in Circe’s schemes.
