From a new Vikings show to yet more Game of Thrones spin-offs, there was plenty to talk about this week in the worlds of sci-fi and fantasy.

It’s time for WiC Weekly, where we go over the biggest stories in the worlds of fantasy, sci-fi, TV and movies from the past seven days.

Let us begin.

First up, CBS All Access — sorry, Paramount+ — is planning for its future. Of course, that includes the Star Trek franchise:

The Winds of Winter is coming. It is. And when it does, we’ll be ready:

A new Vikings show is coming:

This is the third Game of Thrones spin-off project we’ve heard about in the past week and change. There’s a lot going on.

The Wheel of Time is one of several high-profile fantasy shows headed to our TV screens in the near future. Let’s get to know it:

HBO is rebooting True Blood, for better or for worse. What do the original cast think about it?

All those new Game of Thrones are just some of the big-time fantasy series coming our way. What will TV look like in a couple years? Hopefully, very exciting:

The Mandalorian has already given us live-action versions of several animated Star Wars characters. And it may only be the beginning:

John Boyega has a reputation for being outspoken. He continues to earn it:

There (may be) a Harry Potter series coming to HBO Max. What direction will it take?

Until next week!
