A new Doctor Who video game will pick where the classic episode “Blink” left off, with players piecing together the mystery of the Weeping Angels.

From its new availability on HBO Max to Whoopi Goldberg throwing her hat in the ring to become the next Doctor when Jodie Whittaker leaves, it’s been quite the year for Doctor Who. And it’s not slowing down.

As reported by Comicbook.com, a video game based around the classic episode “Blink” — which introduced the iconic Weeping Angel villains — is set for release in March on iOS, Android and Steam.

Entitled Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins, the game will involve characters from the episode and pick up right after the conclusion, with players attempting to piece together the mystery of what actually happened. Ingrid Oliver will reprise her role as Petronella Osgood, complete with new live-action footage.

“Following their encounter with the Tenth Doctor, the Weeping Angels were trapped in the basement of Wester Drumlins,” reads the official synopsis from developer Kaigan Games. “That is, until now…Merciless as ever, the Weeping Angels are back with a vengeance. Will you be able to uncover the truth and avoid their clutches? Now that the Weeping Angels have the power to infiltrate technology, no device is safe…”

"Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins thrusts players into a dark mystery amidst a series of sinister events occurring at Wester Drumlins, a decrepit and supposedly uninhabited house in London. Building on the iconic Doctor Who episode “Blink,” all is not what it seems as ex-UNIT scientist Petronella Osgood enlists the player’s aid in tackling a familiar and lethal foe. Filmed in London and Cardiff, the game sees players interacting with a mysteriously discarded phone in order to uncover its secrets and that of its former owner. Blurring the line between live-action footage and gameplay, players will need to piece together clues and work with Petronella to trace connections to the first horrific encounter within Wester Drumlins."

And if that’s not enough, this isn’t the only Doctor Who game set for release this year. The Edge of Reality is a VR experience that will star both David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Jodie Whittaker as the Thirteenth, and will be available from the spring.

The Lonely Assassins will be released on March 19.
