1. Jamie Dornan

Fans everywhere are wildly speculating on who will be cast as the eldest Stark sibling. Brandon “the Wild Wolf” Stark is a crazy, huge, passionate warrior that the people of Westeros admire so much that the Ned we see in Game of Thrones still lives in his shadow. Any actor cast in this part must have the charisma to live up to the character’s reputation. Among fans, one name seems to keep popping up: Fifty Shades star Jamie Dornan, a British heartthrob who would bring the right balance of wild abandon and righteous fury to the man who wins Catelyn Stark’s favor and dies trying to save his father from King Aery’s flames.

2. Karl Urban

Karl Urban would be my ideal choice for this role. We know from The Lord of The Rings — where he played Éomer — that he’s well-suited to play an arrogant yet honorable warrior who’s driven by a desire to do right by his family and his people. Urban has become even more of a household name since thanks to his starring role in The Boys. He’s made it clear here that he can also embody the dangerously crazed attitude of “The Wild Wolf.”

3. Christian Bale

From Batman to Bateman to Dick Cheney, there’s pretty much nothing that this guy can’t do. It’s unlikely that an actor of Bale’s caliber and prestige would be attached to this project, especially since it’s unclear how large of a role Brandon Stark will play in the adaptation. I put him on here mainly as a fun person to consider.
