Benjen Stark

1. Joseph Mawle

One option here is to just go with the guy you know. Mawle is great as Benjen Stark throughout Game of Thrones, and since we don’t know how much we’ll even see of the youngest Stark sibling in the new show, it could make sense to cast a familiar face and make him look much younger through digital magic. Benjen doesn’t play a huge role in the events of Roberts rebellion as he’s already at the Wall before his fathers death in the Mad King’s court.

2. Jamie Bell

If this project expands upon events and follows a young Benjen on his adventures beyond the Wall, it’d be more important to cast a younger man who could leave his own mark on the role. Rocketman star Jamie Bell would fit right in with the other Stark children as the clear runt of the litter intent on making his family proud. Benjen has more of a sense of humor than his other siblings, and Bell would be the right choice to bring that aspect of the character to life.

3. Ben Barnes

If they were to digitally de-age Joseph Mawley, the result would end up looking a lot like Ben Barnes. Barnes has extensive experience in the fantasy world, most notably with his role in The Chronicles of Narnia movies. Fans will remember him as the wild and sadistic Logan in HBO’s Westworld, so he already is a favorite of the studio. They could bring him in if they wanted to add some edge to Benjen.
