We talk to Game of Thrones vet Lino Facioli (Robin Arryn) about growing up on set, his thoughts season 8, and Lord Robin’s series finale glow-up.
Game of Thrones was famous for its huge cast of characters, with even minor figures becoming iconic. Take young Robin Arryn, Lord of the Vale and Warden of the East. He appeared in only a hefty handful of episodes, but no one’s likely to forget him, whether at the beginning when he was a little too close to his mother Lysa, or the very end when he helped make Bran Stark the new Lord of the Seven Kingdoms.
We spoke to Lino Facioli about his time playing the young lord, and what he’s been up to since. Enjoy!
If you’re wondering, Facioli’s favorite scene was the one where Robin destroyed Sansa Stark’s snow castle in season 4, a crime for which she slapped him good.
We also wondered what Facioli thought of the divisive eighth and final season of the show, which he was surprised he ended up being a part of, if only for that one crucial scene. He wasn’t overly critical, but did opine that “if it had been a little bit longer, would have felt like more of a complete ending.”
You can see what Facioli is up to these days by tuning into the second season of Sex Education on Netflix. (And there’s a third season on the way.) He’s also involved with a few mysterious projects that are still under wraps.
We thank Facioli for his time, and look forward to everything he has on the horizon!
