Lena Headey flips Piers Morgan the bird after he quits Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan quit Good Morning Britain last week after storming off the set, and the one-time Queen of the Seven Kingdoms seems pretty happy with it.

Last week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey where they talked about Meghan’s mistreatment at the hands of the British Royal Family, laying out why they left. During the interview, which you can watch on CBS.com, Meghan and Harry get into the family’s lack of interest in addressing Meghan’s mental health struggles, inappropriate questions about the race of her baby, failure to protect them from the famously intrusive British tabloids, and more.

Predictably, the interview inspired a lot of intense reactions both sympathetic and unsympathetic. Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan was definitely in the latter camp, saying on air he didn’t believe Markle when she talked about her failing mental health in particular. Although he later clarified that he takes mental health issues and suicide seriously, his words resulted in a huge backlash, with over 41,000 people filing complaints with ITV. There was also the incident where Morgan walked off his own show when cohost Alex Beresford pointed out that Morgan’s well-established dislike for Markle had less to do with anything substantial and more with her not pursuing a friendship with him a few years back.

From there, ITV gave Morgan a few options: apologize, get fired, or quit. He chose to quit, which has set off a new round of intense reactions.

One of them comes from Game of Thrones veteran Lena Headey, who is clearly pretty jazzed about the development, flipping Morgan the bird in an Instagram video:

"Piers Morgan, you’ve been called out, mate, on some true, true colors. Maybe we can pop in and do an episode of your podcast you may be doing from a shed. Not that there’s anything wrong with doing a podcast from a shed but I think you will consider your own fall from grace far worse than any else."

Morgan is definitely a polarizing figure with his fair share of scandals, from phone hacking accusations to allegations of racism, misogyny and transphobia to a great many feuds. He’s basically a professional troll, and I’m not surprised to see people indulging in a little schadenfreude now that he’s vacated his spot on Good Morning Britain.

That said, I’m sure Morgan will be back in some form or another soon enough. More intense reactions are incoming.
