Outlander season 7 is officially coming

The sixth season of Outlander has been beset by delays, but the cast is at least here to deliver the good news that there’s life for the show beyond that.
The upcoming sixth season of Outlander has been beset by delays, whether it’s the pandemic or the difficult Scottish weather. But the team is hard at work, and we can expect to see Outlander season 6 sometime in…well, it looks like the Droughtlander is gonna last a while longer, but there is an end!
Hopefully, the wait for the seventh season isn’t as long as the wait for the sixth. That’s right, the Outlander cast officially revealed that a seventh season is on the way in a cute little video:

Outlander is based on Diana Gabaldon’s book series of the same name. The show roughly adapts one book per season. Season 5 adapted The Fiery Cross, season 6 will adapt A Breath of Snow and Ashes, and season 7 will adapt An Echo in the Bone. Right now, we’re still waiting for the ninth Outlander book, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, to come out, so the show still has a ways to go before catching up to the source material.
We have no idea when Outlander season 7 will premiere. We don’t even know when Outlander season 6 will premiere, come to think of it. One step at a time.
