7. The Seven Husbands of Ms. Zabini
If you’ve read the books, you probably remember Blaise Zabini. He’s a Slytherin in Harry’s year who is also a Chaser on the Quidditch team as well as part of the Slug Club. What you might not remember is that Blaise’s mother is a famously beautiful witch (surely making Zabini the victim of a few “yo mama” jokes) who had been widowed six times by the time of The Half-Blood Prince.
It’s heavily implied in the text that Ms. Zabini married all these men for money and social status and then murdered them all and somehow got away with it. But that’s about all we know about her. We don’t even know if she’s a Ms. or a Mrs. Zabini, or if she goes by any other name. My personal headcanon is that she gave her son her own maiden name after her murdered her (first?) husband and Blaise’s father, but who knows? Maybe she was truly in love with him and he died of natural causes. Maybe she doesn’t kill them for their money, but for something else. Maybe she doesn’t kill them at all and their deaths are all a series of crazy coincidences. There are so many possibilities to explore. Just imagine how chaotic this show could be.
There are literally no cons to this idea. This would be a brand new story featuring background characters with personalities the writers could further develop. If we could bring back Louis Cordice, who played Blaise in Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows, that would be great too.
